"I have been Il Lucano's chef since 2010. I had an opportunity to work at a restaurant in Italy when I stayed in Napoli with my Navy chaplain father. I have always loved cooking and the experience in Italy guided me to pursue cooking as a career. When I came home to Washington, I enrolled in culinary school. While I was in school, I ate at Il Lucano and Michele offered me a position. The rest is history. I am now a father of three children and happily married."

"I started my cooking career in the Beecher school district as a cafeteria cook from 1977 - 1983. I joined the U.S. Army in 1983 as a Food Service Specialist serving 1500 soldiers three times a day. In 1986, with an honorable discharge, I put my "Art Skills" into my culinary journey through several restaurants and catering spots in many different regions, ending up in the great northwest with my Il Lucano family. Working next to my executive chef, the talented Alex Marshall, and the two best bosses in the world Michele and Azusa - my journey is over .... I'm home."

Chose the Culinary Career for Love

“I met my wife in Rome while she was studying abroad. Four years of a long-distance relationship convinced me to study Pizza. I worked in an Italian Pizzeria in Padova for over two years then moved to the states to marry her. I worked in pizzerias in the Seattle area for another year.  In April 2017, I joined the Il Lucano family.  Here I found two amazing teachers, Alex and George. I also found two amazing bosses, Michele and Azusa. This experience has completely changed my life. It is more than just a job, it is my passion. Here I can work with something more than my experience and knowledge, I can follow my heart.”
